In het boek Valsheid in gesteente (2022) riepen de auteurs de Nederlandse archeologie op tot een grote schoonmaak. Vooral amateurarcheoloog Ad Wouters verspreidde in jaren 1950-2000 grote aantallen vervalste steentijdartefacten (en -vindplaatsen). Een groot deel daarvan schuilt nog altijd onontdekt in collecties, depots en publicaties.
Vier jaar later blijft de aanpak van dit probleem nog steeds uit. Daarom pakken wij de draad weer op.
